Kingdom Truth - What is the Kingdom of Heaven in the Bible?
Chapter 3, Introduction
Requirement for the Entrance into the Kingdom
in Its Preparation Period

The last chapter mentioned that the Kingdom has two time periods: the period of "Preparation" and the period of "Inheritance". The "Preparation" period began at creation. In other words, God already has this plan when Adam was created. When Adam failed, Abel was murdered and Seth's descendants destroyed by the flood. God looked to Noah and desired that he and his descendants can continue the business of the Kingdom of Preparation. Unfortunately, this hope also vaporized!  So He had to choose Abraham's descendants, the Israelites. But the Israelites turned out to be even worse and threw Him who was to inherit the Kingdom "out of the vineyard and killed Him"!  For this reason, the Kingdom of God was taken away from them and given "to a nation producing the fruit of it" (Matt. 21:37-43; Rom. 9:25, 26, 11:17-24) or the "church".  This is the hope of the gracious Lord upon the church!  (What is the outcome? The Lord looks at the church and all He could do is to sigh!)

God's promises in the Scriptures often have specific conditions. In order to enjoy what He promised, the conditions must be fulfilled first. If not, God's promises will forever exist in the objective. They can be seen but not had! This is the same for entering the Kingdom of God, the conditions must be met. Not only are there conditions for the entrance into the Kingdom of Inheritance, but even the Kingdom in its preparation period also has conditions. "All things are to be done properly and in an orderly manner." What then are the conditions for entering into the Kingdom of Preparation? The gracious Lord Himself said, "Repent, the Kingdom of God is at hand and believe in the gospel!"  Therefore, "repentance" is the only condition required to enter the Kingdom of Preparation. What then is "repentance"?
