“The Kingdom of God is in our midst (Luke 17:21), why did the gracious Lord still want us to prepare it with Him through prayer?”

The Kingdom of God and Prayer
The Lord has clearly revealed to us in the Scriptures and He said, “Come, you who are blessed of My Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.” (Matt. 25:34) Here, the gracious Lord told us that there are two periods of the Kingdom: the preparation period and the inheritance period. When the Lord said, “The Kingdom of God is in your midst.”, it refers to the Kingdom of preparation period. “Thy Kingdom come” refers to the Kingdom of inheritance. Since it has not come, we need to pray so that the Lord’s Kingdom will soon come. Thank God!

God’s purpose in creating man is no other than for man to rule over His creation. (Gen. 1:20) It is too bad that Adam was unable to pass the test God allowed. He flunked it badly and lost his reign! Until this day, the world still lies in the power of the evil one. (I John 5:19) The king of the world is still holding onto the throne of the world. He even blinded the spiritual eyes of people so that they cannot resist and can only be his obedient subjects and allow him to use them in any which way he wants!

One day, our prayers will destroy Satan’s kingdom. It is because the Scriptures tell us, “And another angel came and stood at the altar, holding a golden censer and much incense was given to him that he might add it to the prayers (for the Kingdom) of all the saints upon the golden altar which is before the throne. ... and there followed peals of thunder and sounds and flashes of lightning and an earthquake.” (Rev. 8:3-5) Following the sound of the angels’ seventh trumpet, our prayer for the Kingdom is accomplished. “The kingdom of the world has become the Kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ and He shall reign forever and ever.” (Rev. 11:15)
